Cedarville Vineyard
California, the most populous state of the United States, located on the Pacific coast of North America is bordered by Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Mexico. The four largest cities are Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose and San Francisco. California is also the home of and wine producing regions such as Santa Barbara and Northern California's Wine Country. Cedarville Vineyard is located in a small Gold Rush era community called Fair Play, in south El Dorado County in the Sierra Foothills. All of their wines are hand-crafted in small lots from their 15 acre estate vineyard at 2500 feet elevation. The incredible blend of quality vineyard potential, Gold Rush-era history, a thriving community of small wineries, convinced them to settle in Fair Play. Cedarville Vineyard produced the wines from their 15 acre vineyard at 2500 feet elevation. Most of their vineyard is south facing, much of it steeply terraced, and the soil is decomposed granite. Cedarville Vineyard offers different type of wines Zinfandel, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Viognier, Petite Sirah vineyard. About the Zinfandel, it is found in Estate Vineyard. The Zinfandel grapes came in super-ripe and full of flavor at harvest in 2004. It has sensational aromas of blackberry jam and cocoa, and the mouth bursts with black cherry, chocolate, and jammy flavors that go on and on.
2003 was the 10th growing season for our Syrah vines. Syrah shows a little more richness and complexity with greater depth of fruit flavors. It is co-fermented with 3 percent Viognier to give the wine a softer entry and a touch more juiciness. The blend has 97 percent Syrah, 3 percent Viognier and 14.7 percent alcohol. Cabernet Sauvignon is to show the potential of this grand grape, tasting notes include words like juicy black cherries, cranberries, cloves, nutmeg, sweet soft tannins, and a long finish.
Cedarville Vineyard has a goal to produce the highest quality fruit possible from their vineyard. It has one of the best wine business and is aware that quality is not accidental but by high intention and perseverance.
