Duckhorn Vineyards

Co-founded by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn in 1976, Duckhorn Vineyards has spent a quarter century establishing itself as one of North America's leading producers of Bordeaux varietal wines. From its modest inaugural vintage of 800 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon and 800 cases of Merlot in 1978, to its accumulation of Sauvignon Blanc in 1982, Duckhorn Vineyards has crafted a practice of quality and excellence that continues today.
Duckhorn Vineyards' seven particularly farmed estate vineyards, located all through the diverse microclimates of the Napa Valley, are a vital element in making wines of the highest quality. One of the first wineries to focus on Merlot as a premium varietal, Duckhorn Vineyards now produces four graceful Merlot and four distinguishing Cabernet Sauvignon bottlings to showcase the characteristics of its various vineyard sites. Additionally, the winery produces a full-flavored Sauvignon Blanc, and an outstanding red Bordeaux blend under the Decoy label.
This company is a set of small winery estates focused on site-specific wines of distinction from the Napa and Anderson valleys. The Duckhorn Wine Company family includes Paraduxx, Duckhorn Vineyards and Goldeneye. With grapes selected from eleven estate vineyards, and a range of sought-after vineyard sites within the Napa and Anderson Valley appellations, each winery is presented with a canvas of lots from which to blend its premium wines. In addition to cautious grape selection, original winemaking techniques and a first-class barrel-aging program are integral to Duckhorn Wine Company's unwavering commitment to quality. Limited quantities of all of the wines are obtainable direct from the winery, throughout the United States and in the international community.
