Firestone Vineyard
California, the most populous state of the United States, located on the Pacific coast of North America is bordered by Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Mexico. The four largest cities are Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose and San Francisco. California is also the home of and wine producing regions such as Santa Barbara and Northern California's Wine Country. Standing as the oldest and the first continually operated winery in the Santa Barbara County, Firestone Vineyard was established in 1972. This winery today remains a cornerstone of coastal estate winemaking, producing highly acclaimed wines that capture the distinctive flavors of their vineyards and region. The Firestone estate vineyards are uniquely situated on a sequence of rocky mesas in the heart of Santa Ynez Valley. The well-drained soils and an extended growing season of the valley contribute to the ripening of exquisitely balanced and flavorful grapes. The imprint of their estate is essential to the character and individuality of each Firestone Vineyard wine. These wines include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Firestone Vineyard wines are distributed across the United States and represented by a small team of regional sales managers. Their managers also present compassionate point-of-sale materials, including shelf talkers and case cards, to assist with distribution and sales objectives. The Firestone estate features eight individual vineyards planted to Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Merlot, Syrah and other classic varietals.
Winemaking at Firestone Vineyards in Santa Ynez Valley is a dynamic process where diversity is created by tailoring vinification and cellar practices to the individual vineyard lots. Nevertheless, there is a crucial process that defines their idealistic approach and establishes a reference for maneuvers exclusively suited to each fermentation lot. Firestone Vineyards’ goal is to extract and retain all of the color and flavor that is delivered in the grapes with quality taste that soothes the mind.
