Handley Cellars

Handley Cellars is a small family-owned winery in California's Mendocino County, bonded in 1982. They are situated at the northwest end of the Anderson Valley on 59 acres of the original Holmes Ranch. Still standing on the property are the now-refurbished ranch house, barn, and the original water tower. At Handley Cellars they offer a wide range of wines that match today's diverse cuisine with its worldwide influences. Winemaker Milla Handley seeks to make balanced wines that possess characteristic varietal characteristics, wines that reproduce the soil and climate in which they were grown.
Milla Handley is the winemaker and Kristen Barnhisel is the assistant winemaker. Their white wine includes 2005 Viognier, Dry Creek Valley, Handley Vineyard, 2004 Chardonnay, Anderson Valley, 2004 Chardonnay, Dry Creek, Handley Vineyard, 2005 Gewürztraminer, Anderson Valley, 2005 Pinot Gris, Anderson Valley, 2005 Riesling, Cole Ranch, 2004 Sauvignon Blanc, Ferrington Vineyard, 2004 Sauvignon Blanc, Dry Creek, Handley Vineyard and 2005 Water Tower White.
Their red wine includes 2004 Syrah, Redwood Valley, 2004 Pinot Noir, Anderson Valley 2001 Pinot Noir Reserve, Anderson Valley, 2004 Pinot Noir, Mendocino County, 2003 Syrah, Mendocino County, 2002 Zinfandel, Anderson Valley, 2004 Zinfandel, Mendocino Ridge, Gianoli Ranch, 2003 Ranch House Red, Mendocino County. Their sparkling wines include 2003 Brut Rose, Anderson Valley and 2000 Brut Estate, Anderson Valley while their other wines include 2005 Pinot Noir Rose, Mendocino County. Their events include technical tasting, barrel tasting, culinary adventure, herb and wine tasting in the garden, food and wine pairing and local artists.
