Hop Kiln Winery, one of the most popular wineries in California takes care to store wines properly and ship them securely. This winery, which originated in 1981, is located 14 miles east of the Pacific Ocean and is elevated at 1,800 feet in the Santa Lucia mountain chain. It produces from its own Estate vineyards and a select group of contracted vineyards, on the west side of Paso Robles. Among its holdings are the two principal estate properties, Viking Vineyard and HMR Vineyard. It was planted in the year 1992 and is now producing great Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Hop Kiln Winery has become recognized the world over for its velvety Zinfandels. The Tuscan-style climate of Amador County is also perfect for producing classic Sangiovese, Barbera, and rich Ports. As a member of Hop Kiln Winery club, one will get wines for three or four times every year. Deliveries of the wines are scheduled such that the club members can enjoy new wines before general release.
