Lambert Bridge Winery
California, the most populous state of the United States, located on the Pacific coast of North America is bordered by Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Mexico. The four largest cities are Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose and San Francisco. California is also the home of and wine producing regions such as Santa Barbara and Northern California's Wine Country. Lambert Bridge Winery produces an internationally renowned portfolio of wines from top vineyards located throughout California's finest appellations. Located in the center of Dry Creek Valley, near an old trestle bridge, Lambert Bridge occupies land that was once the part of C. L. Lambert Ranch. This historic valley has been experiencing the cultivation of grapes for last 150 years, thriving in warm daytime temperatures moderated by evening time cool ocean breezes. In 1969, Gerard Lambert, purchased the property that is now Lambert Bridge Winery and planted a vineyard along West Dry Creek Road. The winery was restructured in 1975, to increase the production to 5,000 cases of wine. Lambert Bridge Winery quickly developed a strong following and a reputation for rich, complex wines. In 1983, the building was expanded to produce its current annual production of 20,000 cases.
Well known for making world class, award-winning Zinfandels, Lambert Bridge Winery produces over 20 different wines, including the classic varietals Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay, as well as Syrah, Mourvedre, Viognier, Crane Creek Cuvee, Old Vine Cuvee, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Franc and several other excellent dessert wines.
Wines are available that are appropriate for any occasion. Lambert Bridge Winery Crane Creek and Old Vine Cuvees are approachable, inexpensive blends perfect for personal house wines and restaurant wines by the glass. The Dry Creek Valley and Bacchi Vineyards Cuvees make up these selections. Lambert Bridge Winery’s wines are bright and fragrant with excellent intensity to the citrus, lemongrass and white peach flavors that linger and stay lively through to the finish. Their flavorful presentation of wines blends the crispiness of stainless steel fermentation with the richness of barrel fermentation. Fruit forward with zesty acid, makes their wines a perfect accompaniment with food. Lambert Bridge strives for greater satisfaction than simply producing award-winning wines. As a small family-owned operation, their abiding passion is to craft small lots of artisanal Bordeaux blends and varietals, each reflecting an identity which is individual, distinguished and consistent, vintage to vintage.
