Niebaum-Coppola Estate
California, the most populous state of the United States, located on the Pacific coast of North America is bordered by Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Mexico. The four largest cities are Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose and San Francisco. California is also the home of and wine producing regions such as Santa Barbara and Northern California's Wine Country. A young captain named Gustave Niebaum amassed a small fortune in the Alaskan fur trade. In 1880, he founded a Californian winery. Within ten year of founding, Niebaum’s wines were lauded by the press at home and internationally. The chief of winery is Kelly Mccown, the name of wine makers are Scottt Maledo, Corey Beck. Lerri Stone is the General Manager for this firm. Niebaum offers different types of wines such as Rubicon, Blancaneaux , Cabernet, Reserve Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Edizione Pennino. About the Rubicon , it is the flagship wine, the Blancaneaux wine has a blend of Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier and Chardonnay. The CASK Cabernet epitomizes the kind of Rutherford wine that inspires and stimulates debate among connoiddeurs. Using only estate grown fruit, CASK Carbanet traditional barrel aging regimen. The RC Reserve Syrah reflects the integrity of the vines on the property by exuding flavors that are defined, precise and arresting. Merlot is known for plush fruit and soft tannins, enhances the complexity of Rubicon and demonstrates profound flavors and a velvety texture when bottled as an individual varietal from their prized Rutherford vineyards. Long considered an essential component of Bordeaux style blends and used to intensify the spicy mineral qualities in Rubicon, their Cabernet Franc is a sumptuous drinking experience all on its own. Edizione Pennino was established in the year 1988 and it is a tribute to Coppola’s maternal grandfather, Francesco Pennino.
The goal of Niebaum-Coppola Estate winemaking program is to create wines of uncompromising quality with optimum flavor and aromatic components that reflect the unique characteristics of the vineyards from which they come. Since all of their grapes are estate grown, each bottle of wine they produce embodies the characteristics of their unique region, exhibiting the natural flavors that are born from the land.
