Norman Vineyard
California, the most populous state of the United States, located on the Pacific coast of North America is the home of and wine producing regions such as Santa Barbara and Northern California's Wine Country.
Norman Vineyards, a small family owned winery in the beautiful hills west of Paso Robles on California’s Central Coast. It has been growing grapes here for over 30 years, and making wine for over 15 years. Their specialty over the years has been elegant Cabernet and Meritage, bold Zinfandels, Barbera, and Chardonnay. Along the way, it is thrown in a few small production wines to keep it interesting, and Syrah, which joined their lineup in 2002. Norman Vineyards was started in 1971 when Art and Lei Norman were looking for a place to realize their dream of growing grapes and making wine. Norman Vineyards wine current releases are California French Connection such as Cabernet Sauvignon Conquest, Meritage, Crescendo and Merlot in Mediterranean, Collection Pinot grigio, Vino Rosado, Syrah, Barbera, Reflection Bin 4 and Petite Sirah.
Pinot grigio has intense, ripe aromas of peach, melon and green apple. Medium-bodied, tropical flavors of banana and pineapple lead to a refreshing, citrusy finish. Vino Rosado enticing wine has a complex fruity, spicy and perfumy nose. Ripe aromas of cherry and plum are enhanced by notes of carnation, cinnamon and cayenne pepper. Medium-bodied, the full-flavored wine is bone dry and crisply acidic. Syrah greets you with lush blackberries, molasses and a touch of honey from its considerable new oak ageing. The Grenache component adds a softer, more supple bright cherry flavor that is accentuated by a hint of vanilla. Syrah comes from four different vineyard lots of Syrah and one of Grenache. Barbera is the floral aromas of violet, ripe notes of cherry, sloe and deep plum, and spicy hints of nutmeg and white pepper combines for a seductive and complex nose. Medium-bodied, the berry and malt flavors are lifted by firm acidity and well-structured tannins. Finishing with a nutty texture, this lovely wine is ideal for lighter red meat entrees or spicy game fowl.
Norman Vineyards provides world class wine club. Many selections are available in limited quantities and are only available to their club members. The goal of Norman Vineyards winemaking program is to create wines of uncompromising quality with optimum flavor and aromatic components that reflect the unique characteristics of the vineyards from which they come.
