Peachy Canyon Winery
California, the most populous state of the United States, located on the Pacific coast of North America is bordered by Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Mexico. The four largest cities are Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose and San Francisco. California is also the home of and wine producing regions such as Santa Barbara and Northern California's Wine Country. Set among the rolling hills in Peachy Canyon, they take pride in Peachy Canyon Winery’s heritage that allows them to combine age-old and modern pioneering wine grape growing techniques. Their tasting room is housed in the historic 1886 Old Bethel School House along scenic Highway 46 West. Surrounded by vineyards and native oak trees, they offer a fine gift shop, picnic area, and old-fashioned inspired gazebo. Winemaker, Josh Beckett focuses on bringing maximum flavor and balance to their Zinfandels, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sangiovese, Para Siempre, Port, Petite Sirah, and Port wines. Peachy Canyon Winery consistently produces some of California's best premium wines, including such as Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Especial Zinfandel, Incredible Red Zinfandel, Merlot, Mustang Springs Zinfandel, Mr. Wilson's Zinfandel, Old School House Zinfandel, Para Siempre Petite Sirah, Port, Rose, Snow Zinfandel, Vesuvio and Westside Zinfandel. The Snow Vineyard is a hot spot in Paso and tends to ripen early and fast. The head trained area is about 35 years old and tends to yield a small crop. Flavors consist of cherries, currant, red apple skin and mild vanilla. The wine also has some mineral characteristics, a chalky feel, is very bright and juicy with an excellent finish. Rose elegant cherry color strikes the eye as this wine is poured. Mild strawberry flavors, raspberries, light oak and a hint of spice combine to fulfill the aromatics. This wine has great structure that is well balanced with its fruit flavors and acidity. Zinfandel flavors consist of strawberries, blackberries, figs, and raspberry pie. This wine is very smooth and soft with mild tannins. It has an aroma of cracked pepper and peppermint candy cane. The goal of Peachy Canyon winemaking program is to create wines of uncompromising quality with optimum flavor and aromatic components that reflect the unique characteristics of the vineyards from which they come. Peachy Canyon is dedicated to the production of wines that reflect the artistry of the winemaker and the marriage of vine to place in the vineyard.
