Duarte
California is the most populous state of the United States. Located on the Pacific coast of North America, it is bordered by Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Mexico. California is known for its pleasant climate and ethnically diverse population. The name California is most commonly believed derived from a storied paradise peopled by black Amazons and ruled by Queen Califia. Duarte is a municipality in Los Angeles County, California, USA. In 2000, the population of the city was 21,486 and an area of 17.3 square kilometers. It is bounded to the north by the San Gabriel Mountains, to the west by the cities of Bradbury and Monrovia, to the south by the city of Irwindale and to the east by the cities of Irwindale and Azusa. In the city the population is spread out with 28.2 percent under the age of 18, 8.5 percent from 18 to 24, 29.6 percent from 25 to 44, 21.8 percent from 45 to 64, and 11.9 percent who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 34 years. For every 100 females there are 90.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 85.8 males. Duarte is definitely one of the popular tourist attractions in California worth paying a visit while touring the country.
