Dublin is a municipality in Alameda County, California, USA. In 2000, the population of the city was 29,973 and an area of 32.6 square kilometers. Dublin is home to the headquarters of Sybase, Incorporation. Dublin is home to Alameda County's central jail, Santa Rita Jail which is the third largest jail in California and the fifth-largest in the United States. In the city the population was spread out with 21.0 percent under the age of 18, 9.3 percent from 18 to 24, 44.1 percent from 25 to 44, 21.0 percent from 45 to 64, and 4.6 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 111.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 112.4 males.
