El Centro
California is the most populous state of the United States. Located on the Pacific coast of North America, it is bordered by Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Mexico. California is known for its pleasant climate and ethnically diverse population. The name California is most commonly believed derived from a storied paradise peopled by black Amazons and ruled by Queen Califia.
El Centro is the county seat of Imperial County, California, United States and one of the largest cities in the Imperial Valley, the region east of San Diego. It is the core urban area and principal city of California Metropolitan Statistical Area which encompasses all of Imperial County. In 2000, the population of the city was 37,835 and an area of 24.9 square kilometers. The median age was 30 years. For every 100 females there were 96.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.5 males. El Centro is definitely one of the popular tourist attractions in California worth paying a visit while touring the country.
