Hollister

California is the most populous state of the United States. Located on the Pacific coast of North America, it is bordered by Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Mexico. California is known for its pleasant climate and ethnically diverse population. The name California is most commonly believed derived from a storied paradise peopled by black Amazons and ruled by Queen Califia.

Hollister is the county seat of San Benito County, California. The population was 34,413 inhabitants at the 2000 census. According to the United States census bureau, the city has a total area of 17.0 square kilometers. Hollister serves as a gateway to the Pinnacles National Monument.

The town was founded on November 19, 1858 originally as the San Justo Homestead Association, established by William Welles Hollister, a group that originally intended to name it San Justo.

Hollister is also known as the city of best geographical environment and has traced its origins back to prehistoric times. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and can also enjoy its natural beauty concealed by the beautiful landscapes.
