Garden Grove
California is the most populous state of the United States. Located on the Pacific coast of North America, it is bordered by Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Mexico. California is known for its pleasant climate and ethnically diverse population. The name California is most commonly believed derived from a storied paradise peopled by black Amazons and ruled by Queen Califia.
Garden Grove is a city centrally located in northern Orange County, California, United States. As of 2004, the city population was 170,000 inhabitants. Garden Grove was founded by Alonzo Cook in 1874. According to the United States census bureau, the city has a total area of 46.7 square kilometers. Garden Grove is home to two stage theaters, the Garden Grove Playhouse and the Gem Theater. Both venues are owned by the city of Garden Grove, but operated by outside entities. The Garden Grove playhouse is operated by a non-profit group of the same name, and the Gem Theater is operated by the equity group Grove Theater Center. Adjacent to the Gem Theater, the city also owns the Festival Amphitheater. Garden Grove is definitely one of the popular tourist attractions in California worth paying a visit while touring the country.
