La Canada Flintridge is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. The population was 20,318 inhabitants at the 2000 census. According to the United States census bureau, the city has a total area of 22.4 square kilometers. During the Spanish era, the area was known as Rancho La Canada, or the Ranch of the Gorge. The area consisted of two distinct communities until they incorporated in 1976, out of unincorporated Los Angeles County land. La Canada has many clubs, religious and social organizations.
