Laguna Woods is a city in Orange County, California, United States. The population was 16,507 inhabitants at the 2000 census with a median age of 78. About 90 percent of the city consists of the Laguna Woods Village retirement community. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 8.3 square kilometers. As of the census of 2000, there were 16,507 people, 11,699 households, and 3,989 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,991.7 per square kilometers.
It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places. As it is often regarded as among the most beautiful parts of California one of the most visited places amongst the most die-hard travelers the world over.
