Placentia

California is the most populous state of the United States. Located on the Pacific coast of North America, it is bordered by Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Mexico. California is known for its pleasant climate and ethnically diverse population. The name California is most commonly believed derived from a storied paradise peopled by black Amazons and ruled by Queen Califia.

Placentia is a city in northern Orange County, California. The population was 46,488 at the 2000 census. The 2004 population estimate for Placentia is 49,949 inhabitants. This includes the community of Atwood, which is included in the city of Placentia, and is located in its southernmost quadrants. In 1837, the Mexican Governor in charge of what is now Southern California granted a huge swath of land to Juan Ontiveros called El Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, comprising the modern cities of Anaheim, Fullerton, La Habra, Placentia and Yorba Linda.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 17.1 square kilometers. As of the census of 2000, there were 46,488 people, 15,037 households, and 11,683 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,723.7 per square kilometers.

Placentia is definitely one of the popular tourist attractions in California worth paying a visit while touring the country. This place leaves a pleasing and unforgettable memory and justifies the proud cultural tradition of California.
