San Jose
California is the most populous state of the United States. Located on the Pacific coast of North America, it is bordered by Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Mexico. San Jose is the third-largest city in California, and the tenth-largest in the United States. It is the county seat of Santa Clara County. For the past several years, it has held the title of The Safest Big City in America. San Jose is located in Silicon Valley, at the south end of the San Francisco Bay. With a population of 953,679 inhabitants, San Jose is the largest city in Northern California.
As of the census of 2000, there were 894,943 people 276,598 households, and 203,576 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,976.1 per square kilometers.
