Suisun City

Suisun City is a city in Solano County, California, United States. The population was 26,118 as per the 2000 census. This city takes its name from the adjacent Suisun Bay, which in turn is named for the Suisunes, a Native American tribe of the area.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 10.5 square kilometers. As per the census of 2000, there were 26,118 people, 7,987 households, and 6,445 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,514.8 square kilometers. On December 12th, 2002, Ron Forsythe at press conference announced his homosexuality, becoming the first openly gay police chief in the United States.
